- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Terrible appraisal service. Lazy when it came to finding comps that actually represented my house. Compared my move in ready house to fixer uppers and tear downs in towns that don't compare to my town and didn't even use comparable comps in the town right next to me. Guy appraised my house for 25K less that it was 6 months ago and that was before I put in a brand new kitchen, bath, windows, doors, siding and a deck! When we refuted the appraisal the guy basically said "nope I am right". If your bank, realtors or mortgage lenders attempt to use this guy tell them no immediately! For example a house 4.5 miles from mine an identical redone split level ranch that was just redone on 1/3rd of the land sold for $60K more than he appraised mine for. Direct quote from his rebuttal "Often the cost of improvements is thought to be an increase in value. This rarely happens. Value increases do not directly relate to the cost of the improvements."
